Eisenhower Park Rose Garden, Abilene, Kansas
Step into a world of blooming beauty during Petals at Their Peak, a seasonal garden showcase that celebrates the dazzling display of color in Abilene’s Eisenhower Park Rose Garden. Held during the cool, golden morning hours, this annual event is the perfect time to enjoy a peaceful stroll, take stunning photos, and experience the garden at its most vibrant.
While the roses may begin to fade in the summer heat, the garden is alive with flourishing annuals and perennials, offering a feast for the eyes and inspiration for gardeners of all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned plant enthusiast or simply looking for a relaxing way to start your day, this event invites you to slow down and enjoy nature’s artistry.
Meet the Designers
Garden designers Joy Maas and Sarah Taylor will be available to answer questions and share expert advice. Learn more about the care and creativity behind the garden’s layout and pick up ideas to use in your own backyard.
Take Home a Garden Guide
Instead of the traditional “You Too Can Have a Green Thumb” class, this year’s event features a helpful new reference booklet filled with garden tips. The guide is available for a donation of any amount to Friends of the Park.
Limited Edition Shirts
Show your support with a Petals at Their Peak t-shirt. These commemorative shirts are available for $20 while supplies last.
Capture the Moment
Arrive early to take advantage of the best light for photography. Whether you're capturing a family moment, your favorite flower, or simply soaking in the view, this is when the garden truly shines.
