Eisenhower Presidential Library honors Kansas native’s legacy ahead of America 250
As the nation prepares to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, a presidential library in a small Kansas town is drawing thousands of visitors each year to explore the life and legacy of one of the country’s most consequential figures.
Dwight D. Eisenhower, a native of Abilene, served as a five-star general during World War II and as the 34th president of the United States from 1953 to 1961. The Dwight Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene is a tribute to his contributions across both roles.
