Abilene receives Wild Bill Hickok bust from artist’s family
Long before Ike called the town home, Abilene was home to one of the most famous lawmen of the Old West.
Now James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok will be memorialized in bronze in the small Kansas town. The family of the late Nebraska sculptor David Young has given the City of Abilene a bust of the famous gunfighter.
