1. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum and Boyhood Home

Check out the all-new exhibits at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum! The new exhibits tell Ike and Mamie’s story in their own words and showcase the impact of Eisenhower’s leadership on the world.

Unveiling a stellar 26th season with shows including Godspell, Grease, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Music Man, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery and It’s A Wonderful Life, this is one season you won’t want to miss! Great Plains Theatre is the only professional live theater between Denver and Kansas City on I-70.


4. Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad

Everyone loves a train! Ride the rails with the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad through the countryside and see the progress on the Hoffman Grist Mill and General Store in nearby Enterprise, Kansas.


5. Seelye Mansion

A visit to Abilene wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the Seelye Mansion! An iconic home, the tour gives guests an authentic look into the Seelye’s life with stories recounted first-hand by its owner and caretaker, Terry Tietjens. Guests will also enjoy hearing Tietjens share his musical talents on the 1920 Steinway piano.
