Last week, Abilene shined on national television when Fox & Friends co-host and former Abilene resident Steve Doocy returned to his hometown to film his Main Street U.S.A. segment. He highlighted several spots around downtown that showcase the fun, flavor, and friendly spirit that make Abilene, Kansas one of America’s favorite small towns.

1. M&R Grill — 1720 N Buckeye Ave.

Next, treasure hunt through the Abilene Downtown Antique Mall. With aisles of antiques, collectibles, and unique finds, it is the perfect place to browse at your own pace. You never know what nostalgic piece of history you might take home.
3. Midwest Meats — 610 S Buckeye Ave.
This family-owned custom butcher shop wowed Steve and the Fox & Friends production crew. Specializing in beef, bison, hog, lamb, goat, and elk, Midwest Meats also caters small private dinners. 6. Little Ike Park — 324 N Spruce St.
A picture-perfect stop, Little Ike Park served as the filming hub during the Fox & Friends broadcast. Located in the heart of downtown, it is home to public art, green space, and a welcoming atmosphere. Snap a selfie with young Eisenhower, enjoy a picnic, and take in the spirit of Ike’s hometown.

8. Abilene Mural at Rackets Tap House — 303 N Broadway St.
Snap a photo in front of the colorful Abilene Mural located outside Rackets Tap House. It's a great way to remember your visit and celebrate your time in America’s favorite small town!
9. Patriotic Cowboy Boot & Cowboy Art Trail — 324 N Spruce St.
Strike a pose with Abilene’s patriotic painted cowboy boot in downtown. Then, follow Abilene’s Cowboy Art Trail and spot these creative boot sculptures throughout town. It is a fun way to explore, stroll, and see Abilene’s creative and cowboy side.
