Saddle up, rodeo fans. Tickets are now on sale for the 80th Wild Bill Hickok PRCA Rodeo, returning to Abilene, Kansas, Tuesday, July 28 through Friday, July 31, 2026.

For 80 years, the Wild Bill Hickok PRCA Rodeo has brought excitement, tradition, and Western spirit to the Heart of America. From bronc riding and barrel racing to bull riding and breakaway roping, this beloved summer tradition draws competitors and spectators from across the region for four nights of PRCA rodeo action.

In a community where cattle drives once filled the streets and legendary lawman Wild Bill Hickok served as marshal, rodeo is more than entertainment. It is part of Abilene’s story.

As a Top 10 True Western Town and recipient of the “Best Town for Historic Entertainment” honor by True West Magazine, Abilene proudly celebrates its cowboy roots while offering visitors an authentic Western experience. Add in national honors from USA TODAY, TravelAwaits, and others, and it is easy to see why travelers continue to choose Abilene for memorable small-town getaways.

After all, America likes rodeo. America likes cowboys. And there is no better place to celebrate both than in the town where the Chisholm Trail ended.
