Step back in time and celebrate Kansas' rich heritage at this year’s Statehood Ball! Join us at Sterl Hall in Abilene on January 25th for an evening of dancing, music, and community spirit as we commemorate Kansas becoming the 34th state in the Union. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the festivities kick off at 7:00 p.m. with the Kansas Brigade Band filling the hall with traditional tunes from the 1860s-1880s. Derrick Doty will guide participants through lively contra-style dances, ensuring fun for all ages and skill levels. Enjoy cookies and punch, and bring along friends, family, and neighbors for this delightful family-friendly event hosted by the Dickinson County Historical Society.
