Spirited Dodge City embodies the essence of Western Cowboy Culture and in Marysville you can visit the Union Pacific Depot to see some of the original rolling stock which formed part of the original railroad through Kansas. If you enjoy outdoor recreation you will find plenty on offer in Lake Atwood, Lake Jacoma and the Prairie Dog State Park (near Norton). A quick drive across the border into Missouri offers still more interesting day trip destinations like Weston and Independence.
