Abilene, Kansas home of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, has been voted the best small town to visit in the Best of Travels Awards for the 3rd year in a row.
TravelAwaits readers voted for the top 14 small towns to visit in the United States and Abilene came in at number one. The Eisenhower Presidential Library, museum and the house he grew up in along with log cabins, rail station, saloon and a general store brings hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. They also boast the world's largest belt buckle.
