Two of the best small towns to visit in the U.S. are in Kansas, says new national list
Some of Kansas’ hidden gems are having a moment in the limelight. Travel Awaits, a travel website highlighting small towns and unique experiences, named two Kansas towns on its list of 14 best small towns to visit in the United States in 2023. Coming in at No. 1 on the list is Abilene, Kansas. A two-hour drive west of Kansas City, the home of President Dwight D. Eisenhower tops the list for the third year in a row.
